Word Object Model Reference Support and feedback The Maximum property returns the maximum number of simultaneous custom spelling dictionaries that the application can support. If you try to set this property to a dictionary that isn't a custom dictionary, an error occurs. You set the custom dictionary to which new words are added by using the ActiveCustomDictionary property. ActiveCustomDictionary = CustomDictionaries(1) The new dictionary is set as the active custom dictionary, to which Word will automatically add any new words it encounters. The following example clears the custom dictionaries and creates a new custom dictionary file. After you use this method, the number of custom dictionaries in the collection is 0 (zero). All you have to do here is open Microsoft Word. So I want to access that path thru registry. We do have a option in MS word to change the default dictionary for WORD. It will add the word in the custom dictionary. Click Options in the list on the left side of the screen. We can add it to dictionary by clicking the right mouse button over the word and by choosing the add to dictionary option. This is pretty much the most basic and elementary way to get the job done. You can also choose Ignore, Ignore Once, or Ignore All if the error is actually correct. Right-click on the underlined word or phrase to see suggested corrections.
